Robotics and Automation Components
We machine joint housings, gearbox adapters, end-effector plates, gripper jaws, sensor mounts, linear-module components and fixture plates. Parts are made from customer drawings and CAD files, from prototypes to repeat production.
The review covers the bearing fits, dowel-pin holes, mounting faces, wear surfaces, load path and assembly sequence, not only the nominal dimensions.
Materials and Surface Treatment
Common materials include 6061 and 7075 aluminum, steel, stainless steel, titanium and engineering plastics such as POM, PEEK and polycarbonate. Anodizing, hardcoat anodizing and PVD coating are reviewed for wear, corrosion and appearance.
The coating thickness and masking are considered in the tolerance stack-up, especially on bearing bores and mating faces.
Fits, Repeatability and Inspection
Bearing bores, dowel-pin holes and mounting faces are specified with the function and the inspection method in mind. We support CMM inspection, FAI, dimensional reports and material traceability.
For production, the process, fixtures and inspection plan are controlled to maintain the critical fits across batches.

What to Specify
State the bearing fits, dowel-pin holes, mounting faces and wear surfaces. State the load, motion, environment and expected life, because they affect the stiffness and the fit.
Define the surface treatment and the masked areas, and agree on the inspection method for the critical fits. For production, confirm how the supplier will maintain the fits across batches.
Applications
We machine joint housings, gearbox adapters, end-effector plates, gripper jaws, sensor mounts, linear-module components and fixture plates for robots and automation equipment.
The review covers the bearing fits, dowel-pin holes, mounting faces, wear surfaces, load path and assembly sequence.
FAQ
Can you hold bearing fits and dowel-pin positions?
Yes, with a defined datum scheme and CMM inspection. The drawing should state the fits and the inspection method.
What surface treatments do you support?
Anodizing, hardcoat anodizing, passivation and PVD coating are reviewed with the buyer and the approved supplier.
Can you support prototype to production?
Yes. We machine prototypes, bridge production and repeat orders with the same inspection discipline.
Why Zync Precision
Zync Precision combines ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certified manufacturing with controlled fits, surface treatment, CMM inspection and a 24-hour quote response.
Tolerances and Surface Finish
Bearing bores, dowel-pin holes and mounting faces are inspected with CMM. Surface finish and anodizing, hardcoat or PVD are specified by function, with masking on fits and electrical contacts.
Quality Documentation
Material certificates, inspection reports, FAI and certificates of conformity can be included. For production, the inspection plan and change control are agreed before the order.
Prototype to Production
We support prototypes, bridge production and repeat orders. The critical fits and surface treatment are checked in the first article and monitored in production.
