Custom CNC Machined PEEK Parts Manufacturer
Custom CNC machined PEEK parts for demanding industrial applications, with grade verification, dimensional inspection, burr control, material traceability and prototype-to-production support.
When One Rejected PEEK Part Costs More Than the Machining
Your team selected PEEK because the assembly must survive heat, chemicals, electrical demands or repeated mechanical loading. The material arrives at a premium price. Then the first batch reaches inspection: a thin wall has relaxed, a sealing surface is not flat, a bore has moved after machining, or a small burr remains inside a fluid path.
For a manufacturer, the real loss is not only the rejected component. It is the delayed build, the interrupted validation plan and the time spent proving whether the drawing, material or machining process caused the problem.
Zync Precision manufactures custom CNC machined PEEK parts to customer drawings, with process planning focused on material identity, dimensional stability, burr control and repeatable inspection from prototype through production.
PEEK Grades and Material Requirements
PEEK is not a single interchangeable material. Performance and machinability depend on the specified grade, reinforcement, supplier and lot. We can work with unfilled PEEK, glass-filled PEEK, carbon-filled PEEK, bearing grades and customer-nominated materials.
Do not send only “PEEK” on an RFQ if your design depends on a specific grade. Include the complete material designation, color, reinforcement, compliance requirements and any required certificate or lot traceability.
What Makes CNC Machining PEEK Difficult?
Heat and dimensional movement
Local heat, clamping force and material-removal sequence can influence final dimensions. Thin sections and asymmetric geometry may move after roughing or after the part is released from the fixture. Roughing, stabilization and finishing should be planned around the geometry and tolerance priorities.
Thin walls and delicate features
Thin ribs, deep pockets, narrow slots and small cross-holes can flex under cutting or inspection force. Stable support, suitable tools and controlled engagement help reduce distortion and edge damage.
Burrs in critical passages
PEEK can leave soft or feathered burrs at intersecting holes, threads and internal passages. A dimensionally acceptable part may still fail assembly or contaminate a system if deburring is treated as an afterthought. Identify critical edges and fluid paths on the drawing or RFQ.
Surface and contamination requirements
Cosmetic surfaces, sealing faces and parts used in sensitive equipment require controlled handling. Tell us about cleaning, packaging, particle, scratch or handling requirements before quotation.
Typical Custom PEEK Components
- Electrical insulators, terminal supports and sensor housings
- Valve seats, manifolds and fluid-control components
- Bushings, wear pads, guides and bearing components
- Thermal isolation blocks and high-temperature fixtures
- Pump, compressor and semiconductor-equipment components
- Precision spacers, rings, sleeves and structural parts
Dimensions That Deserve Extra Attention
- Bore size, roundness and position
- Flatness and parallelism of sealing or mounting faces
- True position of hole patterns
- Wall thickness after machining
- Thread class, depth and insert requirements
- Profile of complex contoured surfaces
- Edge-break and burr limits at intersecting features
If every dimension receives the same tight tolerance, cost and lead time rise without necessarily improving function. Mark the characteristics that drive fit, sealing, motion or alignment so tooling and inspection can focus on what matters most.
Inspection and Traceability
Depending on the geometry and order requirements, controls may include first-piece verification, in-process checks, final dimensional inspection and documented results for specified characteristics.
State traceability needs at RFQ stage, including material certificates, supplier information, batch identification, inspection reports and special packaging labels. Requirements are reviewed against the order rather than assumed.
From Prototype to Repeat Production
An effective prototype confirms workholding, deformation risk, deburring access, inspection method and the relationship between drawing tolerances and actual assembly needs. For repeat orders, controlled programs, tooling decisions and inspection checkpoints support consistency.
