Custom CNC Machined Brass & Copper Parts Manufacturer
Custom CNC machined brass and copper parts for valves, electrical systems, fluid control and industrial equipment, with alloy verification, deburring, dimensional inspection and production traceability.
A brass or copper part can look perfect and still create field failures. The wrong alloy may reduce conductivity, dezincification resistance, pressure integrity or plating adhesion. Burrs inside a cross-hole can contaminate a valve, while damage to a sealing face can cause a leak after assembly.
CUSTOM CNC MACHINED BRASS AND COPPER PARTS
Zync Precision manufactures non-standard brass and copper components from customer drawings and STEP models, from prototypes through repeat production. We review alloy, function, tolerances, sealing surfaces, conductivity requirements, finish and inspection before machining.
MATERIALS WE MACHINE
C360 Free-Machining Brass
C360 is widely used for fittings, connectors, bushings, threaded components and valve parts where machinability and repeatable dimensions are important.
C377 / CW617N and Customer-Specified Brass
Pressure and fluid-control components may require a specific forged or wrought brass grade. Stock form, material condition and certification should be confirmed before quotation.
Lead-Free Brass
Lead-free requirements must be tied to an exact alloy and applicable standard. State any regulatory or application-specific compliance requirements in the RFQ.
C110 Copper
C110 is selected for high electrical and thermal conductivity. Typical applications include terminals, busbar components, electrical contacts, electrodes and heat-transfer parts.
Other brass, bronze and copper alloys can be evaluated from your drawing. We do not substitute an alloy, standard or material condition without customer approval.
TYPICAL COMPONENTS
We support custom valve bodies, fittings, nozzles, couplings, threaded inserts, electrical contacts, terminals, busbar components, sensor housings, manifolds, bushings, adapters and precision parts for fluid control, electrical equipment and industrial automation.
FUNCTIONAL RISKS WE REVIEW
Sealing faces and ports: Small scratches, tool marks or burrs can cause leakage after assembly.
Cross-hole burrs: Intersecting passages must be deburred and cleaned so loose material does not enter valves or fluid systems.
Thread fit: Specify BSP, NPT, UN, metric or other standards, plus required gauges and sealing method.
Conductivity: Alloy, temper, heat input and surface finish can affect electrical performance.
Plating allowance: Coating thickness can change thread fit, bore size, contact resistance and assembly dimensions.
Cosmetic handling: Brass and copper mark easily, so visible surfaces may require protected handling and individual packaging.
MACHINING SOFT AND THIN-WALL COMPONENTS
Brass and copper parts can deform under excessive clamping, especially around thin walls, slots and sealing features. Stable workholding, sharp tools and controlled cutting conditions help maintain geometry and surface quality. The machining and deburring plan is reviewed around the features that matter to assembly.
THREADS, PASSAGES AND PRESSURE REQUIREMENTS
For fluid-control parts, identify the thread standard, port geometry, sealing method, working pressure and any leak or pressure-test requirement. Internal passages should have defined cleanliness expectations. If a special gauge, plug or mating component is used, provide the relevant specification.
SURFACE FINISH AND PLATING
Parts may require nickel, tin, silver or another customer-specified coating, as well as anti-tarnish protection. Drawings should identify masking, plating thickness, cosmetic zones and dimensions that apply after plating. Electrical contact areas and sealing surfaces may require different treatment from the rest of the component.
QUALITY CONTROL AND TRACEABILITY
Depending on the project, documentation can include:
• Dimensional inspection reports
• First article inspection
• Material certificates and lot traceability
• Plating certificates and thickness reports
• Conductivity testing
• Leak or pressure-test records
• Thread-gauge inspection
List required reports and certificates in the RFQ so they are included in the manufacturing plan and quotation.
FROM PROTOTYPE TO REPEAT PRODUCTION
A successful prototype must transfer into a stable production process. Alloy source, revision, machining sequence, tools, inspection frequency, surface treatment and packaging should remain controlled. This reduces variation for purchasing and engineering teams managing repeat orders.
