Material Overview
Bronze is a copper alloy with tin, aluminum, silicon or other elements. It offers good bearing properties, wear resistance and corrosion resistance, and it is used for bushings, bearings, wear plates and marine components.
The alloy and the condition affect the bearing performance, the machinability and the corrosion resistance. The lubrication and the mating material should be considered in the design.
