Material Overview
C360 is a free-machining brass with excellent machinability, good strength and corrosion resistance. It is used for fittings, connectors, bushings, threaded components and valve parts.
C360 contains lead. If the part requires a lead-free or RoHS-compliant alloy, specify the exact grade and standard; a lead-free brass is not automatically interchangeable with C360.
What We Machine
We machine fittings, connectors, bushings, threaded parts, valve components and sensor housings in C360 and other brass grades. The review covers the alloy, the thread requirement, the surface finish and the plating.
Tolerances and Inspection
Critical features are verified with CMM or the agreed method. Material certificates are available. If the part will be plated, the plating specification and the thread allowance should be considered.
What to Specify
State the alloy (C360 or a lead-free alternative), the temper, the thread requirement, the plating and the inspection requirement. If the part is for potable water or a corrosive environment, review the dezincification risk.
Request a Quote
Send your drawing, material, condition, tolerance, surface finish, quantity and destination. Our engineering team responds within 24 hours.
Applications
We machine fittings, connectors, bushings, valve parts and threaded components for fluid and electrical applications.
Specify C360 or a lead-free alternative, the temper, the thread requirement and the plating. For potable water or chlorides, review the dezincification risk.
FAQ
What condition should I specify?
Specify C360 or a lead-free alternative, the temper, the thread requirement and the plating. For potable water or chlorides, review the dezincification risk.
Can you provide material certificates?
Yes. Material certificates, heat-lot traceability, FAI and CMM reports can be included in the RFQ.
What tolerances can you hold?
Tolerances are confirmed by feature. Critical features can be verified with CMM; a blanket tight tolerance is usually unnecessary and expensive.
